Galette SOBA

In business since 1999, the bakery Le Petit-Breton always knew how
to offer quality products to his customers.

The Galette SOBA is made with three ingredients:

Nothing more!
  • Buckwheat flour
  • Water
  • Salt
In the last few years, the request of products without gluten is on demand and for that reason, we developed the galette SOBA which it will be able to respond for customers.

The buckwheat flours which are part of the composition of our galette SOBA are certified ORGANIC and WITHOUT GLUTEN. They are all coming from Quebec (cultivated by producers of Quebec and transformed by companies from Quebec). Everything is made with local products.

Besides having extraordinary properties for the health, the buckwheat is excellent for the taste and we can eat it with anything we like, so salted as sweet.

Our SOBA galette is a flat galette and it allows you to develop a multitude of recipes that they are hot or cold, sweet or salty.

You will find some recipes on our web site, but they’re so many different ways to use the galette SOBA. Just let your imagination run wild and simply have fun!

Here some recipes

Smoked salmon, whipped cheese, avocado, capers, lemon

Always place the clear Galette Soba side upward, spread the cheese whipped on the Galette Soba, place the salmon, spray with a little lemon juice, put some capers, avocado, roll it and it's done.

Rôtis de bœuf, oignons confits déglacés au vinaigre balsamique, mélange de mayonnaise et moutarde forte, salade

Place the clear Galette Soba side upward, spread it with mustard mayonnaise over all the surface, then the roast beef, the onions, the salad, roll it and it’s ready.

Cooked ham, baba ghanouj or humus, hot peppers, salad

Place the clear Galette Soba side upward, spread the baba ghanouj, add a touch of mayonnaise, place the ham, the hot pepper, the salad, roll it and enjoy it.

Jam

In a frying pan, place the clear Galette Soba side upward on medium-high heat 30 to 40 seconds, put it in a plate, garnish with jam, add a knob of butter and here we are.

Butter and maple syrup

In a frying pan, place the clear Galette Soba side upward on medium-high heat 30 to 40 seconds, put it in a plate, fold in triangle, put a knob of butter and spray with maple syrup according to your taste.

Peanut butter, Nutella, bananas

In a frying pan, place the clear Galette Soba side upward on medium-high heat, spread a good spoon of peanut butter, and a lot of Nutella, let it heat for 20 seconds, put it in a plate, garrnish with a banana cut in slices, bend and enjoy it.

Apple cooked, cheese, maple syrup

In a frying pan, place the clear Galette Soba side upward on medium-high heat, add the cheese of your choice, when it begins to melt, fold up both sides, put it in a plate, add the cooked apples, for the greediest, a drop of syrup is very good.

Minced meat cooked Mexican style, raw red onion, avocado, cheese

In a frying pan, place the clear Galette SOBA side upward on medium-high heat, spread the grated cheese over all the surface, when it begins to melt, place the onions, then the meat and finally the avocado. Fold up the Galette SOBA, turn it in the frying pan with a spatula, let it heat for 30 seconds, put it in a plate and put the sauce (mixture sour cream, mayonnaise, 1 crushed clove of garlic, lemon juice).

In a frying pan, place the clear Galette SOBA side upward on medium-high heat, spread the grated cheese over all the surface, when it begins to melt, put scrambled eggs, sausage cooked chipolatas. Fold up the Galette Soba, turn it in the frying pan with a spatula, let it heat for 30 seconds, and put it in a plate. Melt a knob of butter on the top, it’s always better.

Cooked ham, mushrooms, asparagus, spinach, egg, cheese

In a frying pan, place the clear Galette Soba side upward on medium-high heat, break an egg and spread well over all the surface, when it begins to be firm, strew with grated cheese, when it begins to melt, add mushrooms, asparagus cooked and spinach. Fold up the Galette Soba, turn it in the frying pan with a spatula, let it heat for 30 seconds. Melt a knob of butter on the top, it’s always better.

The buckwheat

High-fiber vitamins and minerals

The fibers are especially soluble and it’s energizing and nutritious. The buckwheat is rich in vitamins (particularly vitamins B1, B2 and B3) and in minerals (particularly the copper and the magnesium, but also the phosphor and the iron).

Gluten-free

The buckwheat is generally qualified as pseudo-cereal, because contrary to classic cereal, it is not part of the family of grasses. For that reason, this nutritional composition differs fairly from that of the latter; it is in particular exempt from gluten and richer in proteins.

Flavonoids are types of polyphenols. They are known for the prevention of the cancer and the cardiovascular diseases. The rutin of the flavonoids of the buckwheat finds itself in great quantities in the flour. It has virtues for the blood circulation and the muscles. Thanks to flavonoids, the buckwheat also lowers the bad cholesterol.
